The International Coaching Federation estimated in 2019 that there were approximately 71,000 coach practitioners. They also note that currently (2022) they certify an additional 12,000 new coaches annually.

Why is coaching growing? Because it works. Their research consistently rates effectiveness and ROI as high. Some of the reasons stated are the value of a sounding board, focused curiosity, facing what is challenging, discovering insights and fresh thinking that help one through the difficulties while also having an element of accountability.

The Lutheran Coaching Network exists to encourage one another in the use, growth, and spread of coaching so that people may grow in and live out our calling in Christ.
